The Spalding pumpkin festival began in October 2002, and has taken place almost every year since. It was conceived as a way to increase awareness of the town of Spalding and the pumpkin industry in general. The festival has previously included features such as a farmers' market and parade of carved pumpkins, along with a firework display. The 2026 event will be held in the town centre with music, competitions, entertainment, and food stalls. See here for more information.
