This machine grades the pumpkins. As they move along the conveyor they are weighed, and a mechanical paddle pushes them into the relevant compartment. The grader has vastly reduced the time taken to sort the pumpkins, and far fewer people are now needed to do the job.

Large display boxes are often used by the supermarkets to promote pumpkins, and this picture shows a selection of these. They are sent in this form direct from the farm to the shop floor, with no need for additional packing or unpacking.

This is the new logo included on all of the display boxes.

At the peak of the harvest, some pumpkins are temporarily stored outside until they can be processed and put into the temperature controlled environment.
